Our economists have extensive experience with natural resource damage assessment (NRDA), including assessments based on recreation value and habitat restoration value.  In NRDA work we draw on our training and knowledge in the ecological sciences when applying our economic expertise.  Our NRDA project work spans the United States, in over 10 states, and has extended to other countries.

 

Specifically, we are experienced in:

 

• Survey design and implementation to collect data on the extent of service disruption (e.g., recreation surveys)

 

• Translating changes in ecological services into economic damages to society

 

• Habitat Equivalency Analysis (HEA) to determine appropriate habitat restoration 

 

• Reviewing and critiquing existing damage claims
   

• Identifying restoration projects to compensate public.
